Karen Jenner is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, with more than two decades in property, infrastructure and major programme delivery across the UK, Europe and the Gulf. At board level, much of her work meant bringing specialists from different disciplines together around complex, high-stakes programmes, with one person accountable for the whole.

When she went through divorce herself, she saw that the same coordination was missing at a personal level. Every adviser was capable in their own field, yet nobody was responsible for holding the whole situation together. The article also reflects Karen's view that choosing to approach divorce with structure and care is nothing to be ashamed of. It is a considered way to protect what matters most.
